Alice Continues Her Journey in CyberSpace!
Toronto, ON - April 6, 2000 - Big Orbit is working with The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to release an exciting online "webisode" for kids, Alice in Cyberspace, once again putting Big Orbit at the forefront of digital innovation. Big Orbit is pleased to announce that development has just begun on the follow-on "webisodes" in the Alice series.
The interactive web adventure has been produced as an online component of the Alice in Cyberspace (on-air and online). The Alice website encompasses a flash-based animation of the story, interactive exploration of cyberspace and supporting site elements which allow the user to further explore the characters and events in Alice's world. Experience the website firsthand at http://alice.biographix.com.
Big Orbit worked closely with the CBC to design an online entertainment experience that complements--yet dramatically extends--the radio drama. Big Orbit is responsible for the overall site design and implementation, character illustration and Flash animation. The Alice in Cyberspace site exemplifies the shift that is underway with regards to "transmedia" entertainment applications for youth. Big Orbit's creative director, Wil Roboly, comments, "The idea of interactive online "webisodes" for kids redefines the nature of children's entertainment on the web. We have every intention to be at the head of this entertainment revolution."
Founded in 1991, Big Orbit - New Media Studios is one of Canada's leading youth entertainment content developers.
